Re: EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2010
I thought many of you would appreciate the attached Eurovision parody from Germany, ironic really as they only won once during the 'old days' that this song looks back on. And of course, since the making of this sketch, Germany HAS won again! Hope you enjoy it - I think they are only joking when the...

Re: Michael Buble - live in Berlin
Hi Lena & Harry Have been reading the comments about the ITV 'Audience with Michael Buble' - I must admit I didn't watch this as the celebrities usually annoy me, as they seem to annoy everyone else! However, as you have commented Michael is indeed a very sincere performer. He really thanked his fan...

Re: EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2010
The aforementioned Eurovision fan is here lol I have to confess that we were at a P!nk concert in Cologne on Saturday night so missed the whole affair! We did see the last few rounds of voting on German TV and they were VERY excited by the result. On Sunday morning the usual bizarre mix of German si...

Re: Michael Buble - live in Berlin
Hi Mariana Hope you are well :-) We didn't go to Eurovision this year  mainly as we went to Oslo for a city break last year and so didn't feel the need to go back so soon! We did however see bad-girl rock singer P!nk in Cologne on Saturday night! She was amazing - a tryly spectacular show I wo...

Michael Buble - live in Berlin
It's been a long time but thought I'd share with you my thoughts on this wonderful night at the O2 World Arena in Berlin. Located in the shadow of the remains of the Berlin Wall, this modern and well organised venue was the destination of many Buble fans including myself and Marc last Friday, May 28...

Re: CHRIS EVAN'S-BREAKFEAST RADIO.
Still waiting for him to play a song by Matt as reported in the newspapers. Although I am going off in a trance trying to keep up with what he is saying half the time  Well as the book is due to be launched on January 29th, why don't we all ask for a Matt track to be played on that day - he ha...

Re: Snow causing transport chaos
2 snow days for me over the last 10 days - extra time at home with Freja who loves being out in the snow. She buried all her toys in it, and we're only finding them all again now!

PS - Eric Hall is quoted as being 64 by Wikipedia, which would tie in with him working as a tea boy with Elton John! Apparently he discovered the Sex Pistols!

Re: Jonathan Ross quits the BBC
Well I for one will miss his Radio 2 show - it was a 'must listen' if we were driving anywhere. And I do think his chat show, though less serious than Parkinson, was the only one that attracted 'serious' conversations. Has anyone tried watching Graham Norton, Charlotte Church or Alan Carr in their r...

Re: CHRISTMAS TV 2009
Joining in this one very late - and without any football references as I am from near Middlesbrough and so can't really comment  The highlight of the TV over Christmas for me was supposed to be 'Victoria Woods Mid Life Christmas', but it was a bit of a let down and nowhere near as good as her...

Re: CHRIS EVAN'S-BREAKFEAST RADIO.
Hi Mariana I heard the 1st hour of the Chris Evans Breakfast show and was suitably pleased. I thought 'All you need is love' was a great opener, and was impressed by the amount of 'older' tracks he played eg Frank Sinatra. Chris has said in the press that he is looking forward to playing songs by ma...

Re: MICHAEL BUBLE
I've never really warmed to Paul O'Grady as a chat show host, although I hear he is very nice in real life. Anyway, back to Michael Buble! We're off to see him next May in Berlin, so looking forward to that already. It was really difficult to get good seats in the UK venues, but we're in Block A in ...

Re: ARE AMERICAN MOVIES ANTI-BRIT?
I was thinking of Alan Rickman too Marian, but then I think of the 'Die Hard' series of films in which he featured as the 'baddie' but I THINK that he was playing a German! Of course, in Harry Potter, he plays a baddie too (or was he in the end?!) - but then thats set in the UK anyway.
