Matt in Great Yarmouth

I was listening to Radio 2 last night whilst on nightshift and the female presenter played Born Free about half three in the morning. She then relayed a story that she was in Great Yarmouth when she was around 7 years old. Matt was judging a donkey derby and a donkey left a message on the ground, an...

Re: Joan Fontaine R.I.P.

I worked with a singer called Michael De Havilland over 22 years ago in the States. Maybe John or Lena/Harry might shed some light on his connection with the family. My short term memory is getting worse.....good singer. Maybe linked with the aircraft manufacturer.

The Music of James Bond

My wife bought me a book for my birthday last week, written by Jon Burlingame titled: "The Music of James Bond". A whole section covers the recording sessions of From Russia with Love at CTS Studios, London. Matt has several mentions, as well as Johnnie Spence. A great stocking filler for Christmas.

Re: PETULA CLARK IN CONCERT

Hi All,

I was in Glasgow on Thursday night, but was invited out to dinner at The Grand Central Hotel. if it wasn't for that, I would of loved to have seen Petula. Smooth Radio was still advertising it right up to the day of the concert. Either way, I had to be up on Friday at 05:00 hours for work!!

Re: Don Black on Radio 2

I'm always working when these shows come on! However, I have seen Don Black several times at rare John Barry concerts at The Royal Albert Hall years ago. He used to mimic John's Yorkshire accent which was dire! John had a rich voice with years living in the States. His stories about the two of them ...

Re: Special Days In May

Belated Birthday Wishes Harry. My daughter Niamh Orla turns 18 on Sunday 19th. She was approached by a Bridal firm two days ago to model for them on a regular basis. Her mum and I wish her all the best for the future.
