Re: Tonight's The Night - John Barrowman

Nice to hear from you Sheila. :) Yes, Steve did well and fulfilled a dream to sing with our hero Matt. :) in fact I somehow seem to recognise him from something else. Must get thinking. ?:? :) If you figure out where you have seen him before, do let us know. It must have been hard for him to sing, ...

Re: Tonight's The Night - John Barrowman

It was a great thrill to see Matt on TV again and I was delighted that he got such a rapturous reception. :D Steve did very well and it was apparent by his tears that he was at last able to sing with his idol. I hope he gets some singing gigs coming his way after his appearance on TV. :)

Friday Night Is Music Night

I'm listening to Friday Night is Music Night on the web, using the listen again feature. BBC iPlayer. It was presented by John Barrowman. Unfortunately, he couldn't sing due to a sore throat. After the overture and introductions by John B, the opening number was sung by Peter Grant and was a renderi...

Oh gosh, I just want to rub his belly. :D I miss my cat Boomer so much. He had to go to a new home because we went to China and no one could take him in for a year. I've always had a cat or two in the house so it feels strange now not having one around. Your cat is gorgeous!

Sorry to hear you lost your phone. It's a real pity when that happens especially all the data we have on our phones these days. It can be a real pain! Guangzhou is in the south China in Guangdong Province. It used to be called Canton. It's about 2 hours as the crow flies north of Hong Kong and...

Yes, that's the one I mean. I had forgotten all about it until the other day. What happened was this. We had gone out in my friend Gary's car for a shopping trip and a visit to an historical site. After he dropped me and my daughter at the retail park, he took my son Richard who is 11 and his daught...

In the past, I've read a lot of bad reviews for plays and concerts I have enjoyed and the rest of the audience have enthusiastically applauded! I sometimes wondered if the critic was at the same event! Yes, I read this review of Matt's show at Edinburgh and was throughly disgusted and bemused at the...

We saw it as a Westend musical with Frankie Vaughan in 1985. We payed a fair price for a lousy seat way back, and because of the low balcony, we could only see half of what was happening on the stage. We should have asked for half our money back. :) I had a similar experience at The Garrick in Lond...

Well I'm very pleased that last night went off so well! Though judging by the wonderful reactions of the audience and staff it only goes to show just what Anna and I are going to miss. I think we'll have to have a mini " 2 Matts Festival" at home tonight. It's certainly a blessing in disguise that M...

I just had a look and the Essential Collection are all £1 dearer online than they are in the store. I was at the Tesco Extra on the outskirts of Inverness. Here is an example of the Nat King Cole CD. Just search "The Essential" at the Tesco Entertainment web site. http://www.tesco.com/entertainment...
