Hi Maxine--it is always good to see another new member join us.

I have 2 dogs, but luckily, they do not get frightened by the fireworks--but my sisters dog is just terrified-she has to get special tablets to calm him down.

Maxine, Welcome to the forum from myself in California....Matt was the best ever and happy you discovered him!

I had the same breed of dog in the 90s as your "Pebbles"-a Bichon Friese named "Louie".....They are a great pet!

Hi Maxine welcome to the forum. Nice to hear about Peter and your sons, and of course it's nice to hear from anyone who loves Matt's music, and you have followed your mums good taste.
We haven't got a dog but can imagine how those fireworks can upset them. We had some loud explosions quite early yesterday morning, and we can't understand why they let them off at such an unearthly hour.
It's nice to see people enjoying the fireworks, but I often feel and know what i'd like to do to with those rockets. :D

Aaww thankyou everybody for your lovley replies....I was waiting for my emails to let me know about replies...what a lovley suprise :D As regards to the pesky fireworks ...pebbles chills out with a plug in soother that we start using from October so that the effect is better by the firework situation lol. She hates them like many animals do and actually quakes....not helped by a little op she had on her foot so her nerves are jangled a bit anyway.....she is a bichon and a little fluffy angel....with a naughty edge of course

We called her pebbles because our cavalier King Charles who passed aged 11 was always picking up pebbles....we don't live near a beach either.....so I promised him that if we got another doggy we would call him or her pebbles...and 8 yrs later she is my little darling. The lads including hubby love her to bits and she has brought a lot of laughter and joy to our lives....so lovley to fans from all over the world love Matt....what an absolutley extraordinary talent.....a total one off......I will write more later ....lovley to talk to you all and thank you very much again for the lovley warm welcome ... 8) :D
