My name is Pam and I am a Matt Monro fanatic. Because I am old enough to remember and young enough to still get in trouble I think I will like it here. Georgia by the way is the peach state.
I love the quality of music that Matt and many of his generation sang. There are not as many now who actually know how to sing but we have:
Michael Buble
Josh Groban
Russell Watson
Celtic Thunder
RonanTynan
just to name a few. In my humble opinion non as great as Matt but at least singers with voices. I have also recently discovered Westlife and alot of what they do is good also. I will look forward to hearing from all of you

Hi Pam-welcome to this Forum--hope you enjoy your time on here. Interesting list of singers-Michael Buble is one of my favourites and of course Josh Groban and Russell Watson are very popular here -although I did not recognise the other 2 names you mentioned.

Is Celtic Thunder a Group ?

My younger sister is a big, big fan of Westlife, and through her, I now know a lot of their music, and I like it too. [but not as much as she does]

Hi Pam, welcome to the forum, and yes we also like Michael Buble, and enjoyed seeing him in concert.
Look forward to you joining in the discussions with us about Matt, and any other favourites. :)

Mariana,
Celtic Thunder is a group of 5 guys ages 16 to 41 who are wonderful, find them on youtube you will love them.

Ronan Tynan is an Irish tenor who was a part of the three tenors who toured and now does his own shows I think. He is also on youtube. The interesting part about Ronan is he a physician specializing in Orthopedic Sports Injuries, and himself has 2 artificial legs.

hope I did not get too wordy on him. let me know what you think ok?

Thanks Gary. Do you need a grandmother for that little girl, since my rotten son has not seen fit to give me a grandchild I am out looking

Hi Pam, I tell you what, I'll wrap them up (I have two) - and post them to you.
There are free to a good home. :)

I will pick them up at UPS, once I have them totally spoiled and impossible I will send them back to you first class on the QE II. Might as well teach them dad always has more than enough money to spend on me, I am sure that is what my 39 year old son thinks.

For sure my gorgeous daughters know they have me wrapped round their little fingers and I would spend my last penny on them, and more.

Had a lovely family day yesterday, went to the Yorkshire Dales and in-particular Wensleydale Creamery - to buy cheese.
It was a beautiful day and the countyside looked wonderful - precious times for me.

How well we know the love in your family Gray, :) and what lovely, happy memories Holly and Cate will have of their childhood days.
Sounds like yesterday in the Yorkshire dales will be another day for them to remember and treasure. :) :)

More like 'precious moments' i'd say...

#Yes, these are the moments we all should recall
Moments and memories of dreams great and small
Guess we were lucky to know them at all

Hey Gray,
That sounds like a nice day, tho I will admit I have no idea about what area you are talking about. I guess I would have to take them to Gatlinburg Tennessee about 5 hours from my house in georgia. It is in the applatian mountains and totally lovely plus of course Dollywood (theme park) is there so we could have great fun. Those girls are so lucky to have such a nice daddy
