I wonder if any of us realize what a treasure Michele is. I have often thought how lucky she was to be the daughter of Matt Monro but I now also think how lucky Matt was to have such a wonderful daughter to keep his wonderful music for the rest of us to enjoy

I do ao agree with you Pam... It would be my guess they both were and are equipped with the same genes.. Yes Michele is a wonderful daugther, and I hope wherever he is now .. I feel for certain he knows that... In the meantime because of her we are so grateful to have his music forever...

You are both so right--Michele works constantly to keep the music of Matt alive--and certainly , there would be web-site or Forum without her.
You may be sure that all of us on here are truly appreciative of all her efforts.

You are absolutely right Pam, and many son's and daughters wouldn't even consider the thought of giving their time alone to do something like this.
As fans we read the news letters and try as best we can to keep our fingers on the pulse as all these projects emerge, but it's impossible to imagine the hours of searching that it has taken and the patience that's brought about these marvellous results.
We are sure that Michele knows after all this time how grateful the majority of us are, and of course how lucky.

Thank you all for answering, after watching Matt at the BBC 10+ times last night and realizing the work involved I felt I had to say something. I know that sometimes I forget to say thank you and they are 2 of the nicest words to hear. almost as good as "have you lost weight?"

Thank you Pam for your lovely message and for all the others that followed. It is always nice to know that what you do is appreciated and it makes it all the more worthwhile for me to keep perservering at keeping my father's legacy burning brightly.
You cannot know how thrilled I am that dad's 25th anniversary next year will be a bumper one. It was always my aim to get my book out for that date but you cannot make a publisher see your vision. I am very lucky to have found the perfect partnership with Titan Publishing Group and I am sure they will make my dreams a reality. I do now know that it will be availble on 29th Janaury in England in in USA in May. As\well as the book 'The Singer's Singer' there will also be a special edition, which will include the complete annotated notes on every session that dad ever did, which was written by Richard who has left no stone unturned. In fact while he was in Texas last week he uncovered another little snippet of information so has re-submitted it to the publisher. As any of you might know from reading Richard's postings he is extremely thorough and passionate about what he does and I can tell you that the annotateed sessions are a wonderful read on their own. As far as I know it will also include a massive discography, every television and radio programme dad has done as well as a glossy picture book. There is ever talk about including an ultra rare 10 track CD which Richard and I out our heads together on and will inlcude dad's first ever recording from Hong Kong of Pagliacci!!!! In fact every track has been inreleased except for Portrait (had to inlcude as it was his first hit) and I Love the Little Things (Eurovision Entry). We have compiled the disc very carefully and every track is relevant to the book - but I know it will all come down to cost so fingers crossed that we can make this work because it will most certainly be a wowser.
I might not get a chance to write very much, especially lately, but I do read every post. I love our community - it is very special and it is through all your good selves that we go from strength to strength. Our Forum is among the best on the internet thanks to our contributers. Look how fantastic the article on the Carruthers is this month although I don't see many of you putting yourselves forward. Be brave and take a chance, what's the worst that can happen!!!
Anyways must be off. I would like to say I amsunning myself but is has rained pretty good all week. Richard arrived on Saturday with his family so I hope the sun comes out for his sake. Most of you don't realise that Richard and I have only met a handful of times although we are on the phone and email several times a day so it amuses me that we are meeting half way across the world. How weird is real life???
Take care and enjoy your summer
Much love
Michele

Thanks Michele, we can only say again how much we are looking forward to the book due out in January and to know how delighted you are with the chosen publisher. It naturally comes at that special time of dear Matt's Anniversary and the more we hear about the book the more we feel barely able to wait for January.
Enjoy your well deserved break, and cover up when that sun comes out strong.
We are all tanned here too, but ours is rust.
We'll just have to stay indoors and keep our fingers tapping.
Have a great time Michele and thanks again

In looking back at some of Matt's contemporaries I realize how very lucky we are to have Michele keeping his music alive. Take a look at John Gary or some of the others and nothing of this quality. Again I say THANK YOU MICHELE
