When I am on my gigs in the pubs etc, I have a little prize for peple who can guess the above song.In some places they do not have a clue and in others they know it right away.

I really enjoy singing this song. Usually when I say in a club , do you want a bit of Matt Monro, there is usually a big YES. I had a lady come up with tears in her eyes to thank me, it made me cry too.

I thought Sir Terry might have finished with Matts version of The Partys Over, but Anthony Newleys version was played instead

I absolutely adore this song. It speaks of such passion, and it was sung by Matt with such passion. It is one of my top 10 songs ever; it reminds me of being a kid. I have tried to find the sheet music to this song to no avail. Does anyone have a copy of this? I have recently set up a music studio (I use the term loosely!) but I have a pretty good voice. It is well suited to this song and I can't think of a better tribute than to try and do justice to a song that was sung so brilliantly by such a pro. So, if anyone can direct me to somewhere where I can obtain this, I promise that I will learn the software on my studio setup well enough to put this song together and post it for all to....er....remark on! We agree - this is such an up-lifting song. If anyone is feeling a little sad, or depressed and you put this song on, before you know it they have forgotten their own worries, adrenalin flows and they are getting ready to change the world with good feelings, smiles and happiness.
