AMAZED AND CONFUSED

Post by karl » Mon Jul 18, 2011 2:07 pm

Has anyone here been confused and disorientated?

Some years ago I flew to Boston on a Thursday, Friday we drove to Connecticut to visit friends for the weekend returning to Boston Sunday night as I was flying to Chicago quite early the next morning for a few days before returning to Boston.

The next morning I awoke in this strange room and huge bed that I could not even feel the ends of and I didn't know where I was, infact I remember saying to myself "Where The Hell Am I" so I thought think back you arrived in Boston on Thursday, drove to Connecticut for the weekend - oh yes this must be Chicago.

I tell you for a few seconds it was scary as in my confusedn and sleepy state I thought I'd been abducted.

I have several amusing stories from the States that become a standing joke for the rest of the holiday. Watch this space if interested I will tell more!

Yes Karl--I agree with you--most of my confused states have been something to do with USA. I remember one year, I flew to California on my birthday, and of course the clocks went back--and my actual birthday lasted 36 hours--it was very strange.

And while in New York, there was so much to do, so little time, and it was very difficult to even fit a meal in--we never knew if we were coming or going..

And in Las Vegas, because they do not have any clocks, it was impossible to tell what the time was--on our last morning, someone told us that all the clocks were going forward, so we dutifully changed our watches--only to find that our booked trip on the last helicopter that day over The Grand Canyon left an hour ago--the clocks had not changed at all. We were not amused.

They do have clocks in Las Vegas just not in the casinos which you obviously were haunting (You Gambler You), didn't you have your watch on? If you were like me you played the nickel & dime machines, I wouldn't know where to start with your proper gambling!
