Hi Terra--I cannot believe that song has not been nominated yet---but it's not in my list, so obviously it wasn't.

I just love this song--I love Bobby Darin's version--especially the live version--and if anyone could given Bobby a run for his money, it could only have been Matt !!!

Hi all, I was just listening to a Mel Torme singing a great song last night, and thought how perfect it would be for Matt---it is not often heard, although I think it is a lovely song--

"Heart and Soul, I fell in love with you.
Heart and Soul, the way a fool would do.
Madly--because you held me tight.
And stole a kiss in the night"

Hi Marian, We remember this song" Heart And Soul" when it was recorded in the early Fifties by the Four Aces, a fantastic goup.
We are Mel Torme fans too. David Jacobs has played his recording this evening "Dancing In The Dark." :)

Hi--yes I heard all of David Jacobs last night-for a change! I usually manage to drop off, which is most annoying!

Heart & Soul is a wonderful tune but not sure which version I know - I think it was the Cleft-tones, it has the sound of Del Shannon about it. Anyway, it was on the 'American Graffiti' sound track!

now that I've hear Shirley Bassey sing 'Get the party started' on the M&S advert, I think Matt would have done a fabulous version of that too!

I would like to have heard Matt sing 'Johnny One Note', as he holds those notes so well!

I listen to Glen Campbell today on my i-pod singing 'Everyday Housewife' and it struck what a lovely track this would of been for Matt to tackle.

I would have loved to have heard Matt sing "The Wind Beneath My Wings", I think this song would have suited him perfectly. 8)

We have this song on a Glenn Cambell album Gray and Two others that we think would be so perfect for Matt ..."Gentle On My Mind" and "Love Me As Though There Were No Tomorrow"
"The Wind Beneath My Wings" seem to come out of the blue at a time when the airwaves were exploding with heavy metal rap, etc, and yet it was recorded a couple of years earlier than Bette Midlers version.
Matt would have made this a No 1 hit John.

Glen Campbell isn't bad, is he, Lena?
He's had some cracking writers behind him over the years, I reckon, as his songs always seem to paint pictures lyrically.
