Well Robert, I suppose the opposite to Mr Beale is Jane, and as he is leaving the East End it just could be "How Can I Ever Leave You?" :?: :?:
I'll try it anyway.. :? :?
Marian :?

I will try "Sweet talking Hannah"

as Ian Beale was married to a character played by Hannah Waterman !!

If this is wrong, can you let us know if we are on the right track with Ian Beale ??

Both answers are wrong, but you are definitely on the right track

You are ....................................................................................correct Marian 8) the opposite of Mr Beale from the Westend = Mrs Beale from the Eastend ie................................"Laura" - Ian's previous wife. (I don't think Ian is married to Jayne yet).

Aha!!! Actually then, the "Sweet talking Hannah" was a close answer then, wasn't it. I think that Ian is married to Jane--although I do not watch Eastenders so much now. Well done, Robert--that was a good clue.

Time for me to get my thinking cap on again !!

Good clue on that one Robert, even though we all grew a beard waiting to see who was correct,  and yes there was a bearded lady in a circus a few years ago that we recall.

According the Eastenders website Ian and Jane are engaged. Anyway, well done Marian, you got there in the end (the East End!)

I do not watch much Eastenders at the moment--but I was sure that I had seen Jane in a wedding dress---although that does not mean that the wedding went ahead.

I am still trying to think of another one-so if anyone has got one and wants to go ahead, that will be fine !

We haven't watched Eastenders for a while now but as Pat, Pam St Clements said on TV this morning, she's never yet known a wedding to go off without a hitch on Eastenders.
