Paul, Michael actually did a neat version of come fly with me, while I believe Matts songs CANNOT be done by anyone else, Frank could go just a half sharp off key from time to time.

Frank Sinatra - I've Got You Under My Skin(his 1956 rendition from Songs for Swingin' Lovers), one of the finest records of all time. Perfection.

I agree. But you also must hear the Dinah Washington live recording with Clifford Brown and Maynard Ferguson ... also one of the finest records of all time.

"ENJOY YOURSELF" - Guy Lombardo w/The Trio on Vocal

"DADDY" - Sammy Kaye's Band on the Vocal

"YOU WERE ONLY FOOLING" - Blue Barron w/Clyde Burke & the Chorus

"SIZE 12" & "I" - Don Cornell

"SWEET & GENTLE" - Alan Dale

As you might see from the above - I collect "Crooners" and "Sweet Bands" from the 40s & 50s

Maybe we should have a topic - "Favorite Instrumentals" or "Favorite Big Bands"

Henry, Peter had an idea earlier about the early bands and bandleaders we could remember, but we thought it might exclude the youngsters, but as they all are pretty knowledgeable, I think we should go for it.
Would you like to start the thread..

Crazy Love -- Helen Reddy

(I just had the extremely unfortunate experience to hear Sarah Kennedy play this song recorded by Michael Buble. I will have to avoid Radio 2 for the next month or fast-forward as soon as I hear the introduction of this super-bland, inferior version, which should have never been allowed. This song belongs to Helen Reddy.)

We were thinking of taping Michael Buble's show for you Paul, but apart from Paul o Grady you wouldn't have like the abysmal celebrities, so we decided not to. :D :D :D :D

Thanks for thinking of me, Lena and Harry. :? 8)

I had purchased his and hers Jamie Cullum T-shirts (signed by the artist at his March concert) especially for the two of you. Maybe I'll give them to my niece and nephew instead. :? :)
