Eman wrote:Lindy, yeah I shelled out for the cd because it was for my Dad!! :D Sometimes I just do these things just because, like if I go to a farmers market I may come home with some flowers for my Mom or buy some fresh fruit and veggies.

Tapestry is a great album and I love it dearly. I remember the other two albums I got when Tapestry was bought for me back in 1971, the same day I got "Mud Slide Slim and The Blue Horizon" by James Taylor and "Carpenters (the envelope album) " by the Carpenters. This was all for getting a good report card and my parents rewarded me.

So with that I"m gonna list:

Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon - James Taylor - Warner Bros 1971
All Great, Eman. Glad to know you've got a wonderful Family too. :D It's rarer than many realize.
Parents who rewarded you with beautiful music, life doesn't get better than that!
I listened to all of the "Bing with a Beat" samples last night. It's TERRIFIC! Sound of piggy bank shattering....

Sorry, not keeping up here with all the great posts. Thanks for the Stephanie Lawrence Youtube link, Robert.
I had not heard of her before Mariana's post about Evita. Very lovely, and it's sad about her going like that.

Robert, I love that ELO album. I still remember the cut out space ship you could put together and then the blue vinyl!! Have you heard how City Boy sounds so much like them..with a touch of Queen?
