Looks like this game will shut down. How can we possibly come up with 13 Meat Loaf songs? Did he even record 13 songs? It seems like his albums contained one endless song.

I think artists of broad interest should be introduced, rather than one's favourite artists.

Paul, it is simple.........the person who answers #13 picks the next artist  as I said Meat Loaf was massive over here, so there are soooo many songs to choose from :) ...............other artists that you say have broad interest will come along in this game eventually

Also Paul, Meat Loaf has sold more records worldwide than one of your previous choices Olivia Newton John  ..............I don't think you know just how big Meat Loaf was in the late 70's and early 80's .............just because Meat Loaf is not your cup of tea doesn't mean I cannot choose him in the game :!:

Here is a list of the best selling albums EVER...............please note Meat Loaf's Bat out of Hell has sold OVER 40 million copies and that's just one of his album releases ............and every track on "Bat" is superb and ALL songs could have been released as singles :)

But who else in the forum knows or likes Meat Loaf? Olivia Newton-John had many more hits than Meat Loaf and is known around the world. If you ask the person on the street to name a song by Olivia, they can name several; not so with Meat Loaf.

Well, this game was fun while it lasted.

I'm sorry Paul, but I had the choice to choose Meat Loaf after answering #13 :) so Paul just join in with an answer, as you will know a Meat Loaf song, then one of your "broader artists" may turn up next ....................you do take these games seriously...............don't you ?

Not impressed. Just because something sells well doesn't mean it's good or has lasting appeal There are many #1 hits and massive sellers that are now forgotten. Half of last year's #1s are already forgotten.

Frankly, Meat Loaf music hasn't aged well.

Just for you, Robert:

2. I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)

But it's really not a favorite song as I don't have one by this artist. But that song did make my chart; can't recall its peak but it dropped quickly.

I like taking these games seriously. I was saving Without Love (There Is Nothing) by Tom Jones by #13, but then John beat me and added Van D, another singer with limited appeal, in my opinion. I wanted to offer Englebert right after Tom Jones as I always put them together.

It's good that you now visit the forum twice a day as this Meat Loaf may go quicker if you contribute half the songs; then it will only last 3 days.

Heaven forbid that I would ever be caught defending Robert!!! but Paul it was his choice to have Meatloaf, whether you are a fan or not is irrelevant.

I am not a football fan but on the occasion when something like that or indeed a cricket ground is picked I just remain quiet until that particular game is over and then join in again when it's something I know or like.

Meatloaf was massive over here and still is popular.

I just checked my book of hit records Olivia had 24 hits and Meatloaf had 21.

As The Stones sing You Can't Always Get What You Want!
