Plus Oklahoma--in this case, I think the original soundtrack is the best.

itto Sound of Music !
Mariana,
I think it'll knock my socks off. THANKS. I think I'll order it and wrap it up for a Christmas present to myself and by that time of the year I'll be wearing socks! Plus I will have gotten through all of my new Matt acquisitions over and over and over again by then.

Eman, have you heard Shirley Partridge with David's Dad on the CD Mariana posted? Oh, what am I saying, OF COURSE YOU HAVE IT!
Gotta agree with you on the Bay City Rollers' "I Only Wanna Be With You" being darn special. I enjoy the video of it on Youtube, maybe it's just because it transports me back to the 70s, but they play and sing it well. I really enjoy Dusty's too, especially live.

Lindy,
Yes, strangely enough I have it somewhere on an lp!! As for the BCR's, there will never ever be an ultimate version of I Only Want To Be With You for me except theirs!! I like Dusty's, but for me it's pale in comparison to the BCR's...plus you can't wear "Rollergear" and wave your tartan scarf to her version. Yep the song transports me to the 70's and being 12 again!!

Bob Dylan - Nashville Skyline - Columbia - 1969

Precious image, Eman! .... "you can't wear "Rollergear" and wave your tartan scarf to her version. Yep the song transports me to the 70's and being 12 again!!" FANTASTIC! :D

That's what I call being "young at heart" and more power to ya!

Thanks for posting a good 'un from my homeboy Bobby Zimmerman.

Here's another of my favorite Bob jobs:
Highway 61 Revisited, Bob Dylan, 1965 Sony

Highway 61 runs from our beautiful city, Duluth, right up the splendid scenic shore of Lake Superior. Loverly. :)

Oooooh! Slade! Time to party, is it, Eman?
Great! :D
Here's what I'm bringin' to the party (besides all of Matt's jazzy ones, of course):

Led Zeppelin IV, 1971, Atlantic

And I'm going to wear a Merlin costume a la the greatest guitar player ever on the planet, Jimmy Page!
Jimmy is to guitar (and dancing with it, not incidentally) what Matt is to popular music vocals. Perfection!
