Hi John, we've missed you for the past few days. :) Well doing a bit of research on Spanish Wood, it seems that this is still being sold in shops like Holland And Barrett, but more as a laxative medicine .
See how we were hoodwinked as kids. Thinking it was a sweet treat, when all the time.......... :lol: :lol: :lol:

I asked Peter and he said it was Liquorice Root. Anyway, I think we are all agreed, whatever it was called, it wasn't very nice! :( :(
