Yes, i like Mike Berry's version too Marian,
We have a 3 lovely picture postards of this song with verses and framed., and an identical one is on a wall at the Lily Langtry Hotel in Bournemouth. :) :)
So many recorded this song.

I see Mariana mentioned Kenny Lynch. Though I've seen him described as one, I can never remember Kenny Lynch as a singer; I always think of him as an actor, and he often appeared in rather lowbrow things such as the "Confessions of..." series of films. Presumably he was a musical artist before I was born/old enough to remember.

Kenny Lynch is quite well known for his singing and has produced several albums---"Up on the roof" was probably his biggest hit--but it does not seem that long ago to me---although I guess it was ! He has a very nice voice.
