Yeah, Good One, Henry.
I think Billie's "Strange Fruit" is one of the best, most important songs ever recorded about America.
Very courageous she was, too.

Whoops, meant to tell you, Eman, I've never heard that one! Although, I've got Morrissey in concert on DVD, in Manchester with his fellow Mancunians.

Where was that concert? And have you seen him in San Diego?

LIndy, It's a series of concerts spliced together to make the album. Yeah I got the Morrissey DVD also. I got this crazy dvd movie called My Life With Morrissey and it's about this weird crazed fan who has fantasies of him, to the point that if anyone dislikes Moz, she'll go mental on them. Hmmmm....

Yep I've seen Morrissey everytime he's been here. My sister who lives in Michigan even was willing to get me tickets this November and fly me out to stay with her just to see Morrissey when he plays Detroit. LOL..

Now here's a wild one for you. I heard this from a bunch of fans in the record store this Saturday that Moz was going to record an album entitled "Dusty In Drag" as a tribute to Dusty Springfield. It's supposed to be covers. I asked them where they heard this rumour and they said it was just circulating in the Moz circles, but as for it being true, it's not for sure. That would be some album, and I'm sure it would be one of my faves. Can you imagine Moz singing "Wishing and Hoping" or "I Close My Eyes And Count To Ten" or any Dusty torch ballad.

For real, Eman?
I think Morrissey would do a killer job with that, Eman. Pure voice, no backup singers or layering ever needed, just that incredibly ultra lush vocal verve of his that we know and love.
I want it! :D

It would have to include some of the numbers from Memphis.
If I had my way, Johnny Marr would bring his guitar and assist.

I don't think Morrissey could top Matt's "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" though. 8)
What do YOU think?

Nah, Matt's version is ace. Though I do like Dusty's as I think it would be her signature song. There is room for both. I do think Morrissey would do a really good job with any Dusty song, maybe even do some of them justice. Just my opinion. However I do hope that Moz doesn't put on a boufant wig with tons of Aqua Net or panda lashes (as Dusty was once described). He'd kill the o-zone layer with that amount of hairspray!!

No it wan't a gimmick is was Dusty's style which was much copied as she indeed copied it from French models but being short-sighted she overdid it but it worked and it was her!

And Dusty's You Don't Have To Say You Love Me was her anthem and a number one hit, as was All I See Is You, it didn't get to number one but the fans went crazy every time she sang it.
