I think Robert did mean 'outside loo' Henry! We had one in Wales and it was up about half a dozen steps right at the top of the garden. Was cold, damp, and a home for spiders!

My dad's family home in Norway had one, in between the cow shed and the chicken coup !!!! You did not linger as it was pitch black at night.

ROLL OVER... Loo Rolls, no such thing in our house. just newspaper on a piece of string, but it was a great way of catching up with the last fortnights news. :D :D
