Hi Marian, yes, Bernard Manning could sing, had a good voice. He sang with several bands in the early Fifties and we know that one of them was with The Oscar Rabin Band.
This song.. "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart " is often requested on Eric Hall's programme.

I know the song "How can you mend a broken heart" very well, so quite surprised that I have never heard of Bernard Manning.

Bernard Manning was a comedian who made jokes about almost everything , but was accused of making racist jokes too, although he denied that this was ever his intention.
His club in Manchester ...The Embassy hosted all this countries top singers and celebrities , making it one of the most popular venues for entertainment.
