"Yellow Roses on her gown "---Johnny Mathis---beautiful, very sad song. He only sings this live in San Francisco--as the first line goes

"I was born in San Francisco"

I had a wonderful friend called Raymond who was killed in a car crash a couple of years ago-he was Chinese, but born and raised in San Fransisco--and he was a HUGE fan of JM---and a short while after his death, Jm was performing in San Francisco, and he paid the most amazing tribute to Raymond, and ended by saying that he wanted to dedicate the next song to "Our Beloved Raymond"--and went on to sing "Yellow Roses on her gown ". I had several friends that were there and told me about it--then I got a copy of the concert, and could hear for myself--and every time I hear it, it just moves me to tears. So that has become a very special song to me.

Which takes me on to "Rocking around the Christmas tree" Brenda Lee---isn't it funny--I did not think that I would think of any, but they just appear out of the blue.

"I talk to the trees" from Paint your wagon---I think it was Clint Eatwood who sang that one.

Plus apologies from me, as I have already repeated one--even though I checked the list twice !!
