Starbucks have quite of a number outlets here Henry, and have been here about 10 years. There trouble seems to be that, although they haven't done anything outside the law, it is that in all that time they haven't paid any tax to the U.K. which is more of a moral failing on their part. They have now offered to pay £10 million tax voluntarily, following demonstrations at their shops.
Really the problem is that the law needs to be changed so that these big firms based in other countries have to pay a fair amount of tax to the U.K. This also applies to Google and Amazon.
