Sorry, Robert, you are close, but you have the wrong label and your response wasn't in the form of a question. There's an (American) record label that was discussed this week. I'll give you another opportunity to guess. Then I'll provide the question.

The question was:

How did the US record label Collectibles spell Matt Monro's name on the 45 RPM single of Walk Away backed with My Kind Of Girl?

And the answer was: Matt Monroe

Good! I stumped all of you. :D

I actually bought this 45 on the 30th of June in Pennsylvania. I couldn't believe it when I saw the mispelling. :o I just had to get it. And the jukebox label was included in the sleeve---and you guessed it: the singer was listed as Matt Monroe. :!:

We can now continue with Marian's The Coliseum in The Philippines

My question is of course in Michele's book in "The Singer's Singer" and also the book issued with "An Evening With.." DVD, so shouldn't be too difficult.

It says 26.000 in my book Robert, but you are correct enough.
I was also looking for the fact Matt was originally booked for just one night and ended up doing four! :D :D

I just realised that I've been a member of this forum for over a year, so my question was wrong. I will offer another question:

QUESTION: When was the fabulous double CD, The Rare Monro, released?

I'm afraid Lena and Harry's earlier "question" to my "And You Smiled" answer, wasn't the question I was thinking of.. which was.. What was Matt's last hit single, from 1973?
Never mind... carry on regardless
