Howdy Doody was a childrens show in the 1950's. starred Buffalo Bob Smith & Princess Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring. Howdy was a marionette with red hair and freckles and all the kids sat in the peanut gallery

This one came to me when I was out shopping today--why, oh why can they not repeat this one, instead of the other rubbish around----

"WHEN THE BOAT COMES IN "----"we shall have a fishy, on a little dishy"---George used to sing along to that one--accent included !!

Not to mention "THE ONEDIN LINE"---I know the music was based on a classical piece , that I can still hear in my head, but I have forgottem=n what it was called---was it by Khactaturian I am sure that is spelt incorrectly, but you will know who I mean.

That's a programme I remember well too Lena and Harry, always loved it, and the signature tune..
Something like.."I married Joan, what a girl, what a whirl, what a wife" Great show, very funny.
