Marian I tend to agree with you and most would but although the actual film version of the song Mrs Robinson appeared on the The Graduate LP soundtrack the film actually helped and boosted the song to get to the top of the charts for Simon and Garfunkel, but The Sound Of Silence appeared far more on the movie soundtrack.

Passage of Time from Chocolat

(The song is much better than the film.)

"MOON RAKER" by Shirley Bassey-from film of same name-I much prefer this song to Goldfinger, or Diamonds are forever.

Same here Marian, and did you know she had never performed the song live until two or three years ago?

Monnraker is such a beautiful song, and it very rarely gets airplay or mentioned much.

I love the theme to The Great Escape. I have a British brass band recording (thanks Lena and Harry :D ). I've also heard it on Alan Titchmarsh's Melodies For You. I believe Elmer Bernstein wrote the music.

I'm not sure if this one has been mentioned before but it was on The One Show tonight.. The Dambusters March by Eric Coates. He wrote many memorable and stirring tunes.

I think I'm right in saying that The Great Escape also includes parts of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony in there somewhere as part of the incidental music.

I used to like the music to Jurassic Park though haven't listened to it for a long time.

THEME FROM "THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE" sung by Maureen Mcgovern, and called "The Morning after"-I think.

THEME FROM "THE TOWERING INFERNO" again, I think, sung by Maureen Mcgovern--great film-one of George's favourites, so we watched it many times.
