Here's a new entry & hopefully it will draw some interest.....

Please name "YOUR FAVORITE CD RECORDING" - Not including Matt's)--Enter the CD title, label, & the recording artist....
Like me you probably have more than one favorite CD, so you can enter many times, but only one CD at one time!
These are CDs that you find yourself listening to many times, & never get tired of any of them......

I'll start with one that I can sing along with & has some great backup musicians (with Ronnie Aldrich-Arranger).....

"WITH VOCAL REFRAIN BY...." - Vocalion (from Decca Recording of 1957) - DICKIE VALENTINE (I'll add more in the future)

Marian forgot the label of Vince Hill's album which was EMI

OK you asked for it, you got it

Ev'rything's Coming Up Dusty (Philips label, and they went to town on this release housing it in a lavish gate-fold sleeve full of information and pictures, the cd release replicated it all in cd size).

As I've said before, this is my favourite album by anyone.

I see what everyone's up to. You knew that there was no way you could pick ONE (non-Matt) favorite CD.
So you're going to submit a thousand posts, one favorite (non-Matt) at a time.

Okay, that makes it easier for me. Given Henry's rules, I was out of the game. ONE would be impossible!

Here's just one (non-Matt) favorite of mine then:

From my homeboy (we share the birthplace, Duluth, MN, which I love), the only songwriter ever to be nominated for the Nobel Prize for Poetry, and his greatest, I think: Blood On The Tracks, Sony, released just in time for my 19th birthday , Jan 1975 (Thanks Bob!).

And you all thought I was going to submit one of Matt's.
But this one is waaaaay up at the top of the heap. Such beautiful wisdom/poetry, so beautifully arranged and played by gifted musicians, and all sung by Duluth's own Robert Zimmerman when he could still sing, powerfully, with the best of 'em. If you only ever hear samples from one Dylan album, this is genius. Thanks, I look forward to learning from all of your favorites.
