I am combining Robert and Jon's last games, to make a New Game of Film Movie Themes-I am pretty sure we have not had this subject yet.

So this is just Theme music from a Drama, Comedy , Romance or whatever---but NOT from a Musical.

Any additional information you have as to who sang it, or played it--in the film--NOT a cover version, or if you know who wrote the song--all will be welcomed. The song title can be the same as the film or completely different--

I shall start with the film that gave me the idea--

"AS TIME GOES BY" FROM "CASABLANCA" as sung by Dooley Wilson---so says my 45" that I bought.

Good game:

TO SIR WITH LOVE sung by LULU and written by DON BLACK

BRIGHT EYES (from Watership Down) by Art Garfunkel (one of the very first single's I ever bought) I think in about 1978.

I have already learnt something new-I did not realise that Don Black wrote "To Sir with Love"

"LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDOURED THING" movie with William Holden andJ Jennifer Jones. Theme song the same as movie title.

Great film and beautiful song

"THE WAY WE WERE" sung by Barbra Streisand, written by Marilyn and Alan Bergman, an unbeatable combination.
From film of same name.

AMONG MY SOUVENIRS, from the movie "THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES." with Myrna Loy and Frederick March

Need I say, Matt with "Wednesday's Child" from "The Quiller Memorandum".

One of the best movies of all time... GONE WITH THE WIND with the theme... My Own True Love.

"THE SHADOW OF YOUR SMILE"--great song , not such a great movie---"The Sandpiper"

"And We Were Lovers" from The Sand Pebbles

and not forgetting...
"On Days Like These" from The Italian Job.

Definitely not forgetting "Born Free" by our Matt.
