I was listening to The Rare Monro last night, and I believe I heard him sing about bluebells in one of the songs. It's morning now, and I don't recall which song it was.
All the talk the other day about Marian's (from Kent) walk to see the bluebells and then hearing Matt Monro sing about them, made me wonder if there are many songs with bluebells in the lyrics or title.
I don't think I've ever seen bluebells. Even Sarah Kennedy was talking about them yesterday. My dictionary indicates they are a European plant, so we may not have them in America, unless Columbus brought them.
So are there songs with bluebells in the title or lyrics? Feel free to submit the Matt Monro song, because I can't recall which one it is!

There's a traditional Scottish song entitled "The Bluebells of Scotland" Paul, but I don't think there are many.

There's also the children's rhyming song you might have heard of John,
"In and Out the Dusty Bluebells"

but I think that's my lot..

I cannot think of a title---but in the song
"The Twelth of Never"--one of the lines is
"I'll love you till the bluebells forget to bloom."

Yes that's right Robert and there was also a dancing troupe of girls called the "Bluebell Girls" who were known for being tall leggy girls who had to be of a certain height. They performed all over the world but were apparently kept under strict supervision by the founder whose name escapes me at the moment.
