WH Smiths have kindly invited me to do a book signing at their Brent X Shopping Centre branch in Hendon. Apart from the fact there are some wonderful shops and eateries there, the centre also offers plenty of free parking. I will be there on Saturday 10 April from 2.00pm, I hope to see some friendly faces there.

Not absolutely sure yet, will have to see if we can make it, but it's a nice place to shop and eat, and to buy a good book of course.

WH Smith AND Brent Cross what a coup

The store now has 3x ‘A0’ size posters, 500 fliers and the stock they require for the signing. They tell me there is a central table display now just for my title- announcing the event.

Ellie has sent out a press release to local media and WHSmiths - in collaboration with Titan Books - will be placing an advert in their local paper advertising the signing.

John Joyce - manager of the store - feels that the Saturday will be pretty busy.

Titan will be issuing a separate press release about other activity- including the repeat of the Matt Monro Documentary which will be appear on BBC 4

Well I won't call it a disaster as I am sure there are worse things that 70+ degrees of weather outside, the Grand National and the Semi-Finals for the FA Cup between Chelsea and Aston Villa at Wembley all going on while I sat by myself in WH Smiths at Brent Cross. Well I say by myself but actually Tim Whale from Titan Publishing Group chose that day to turn up and see how I handled myself at these events.............. I very much doubt I will be seen in any other WH Smith stores signing books in the near future. I would like to thank those few people who did turn up, one of which had bought the book earlier in the week but wanted it signed!!!!!! Onwards and upwards
