I am seeking information about one of Matt's old songs... The world outside ...sung to the tune of Warsaw Concerto. I would be grateful if anyone could tell me if it is available on LP. CD. or Tape. for me to purchase commercially . I have looked and enquired all over for a long time,to no avail. I am new to computing and the Fan club,and would really appreciate any replies. The song you are enquiring about is called THE PRECIOUS MOMENTS. Matt recorded it in 1980 and was released on a single with MAY EACH DAY on the B side. It is on the cd entitled THIS IS MATT MONRO, a 2cd set, not sure if it is still available or not, but you will probably get a copy on ebay.

The Song "The World Outside" to the tune of Warsaw Concerto was recorded by Ronnie Hilton in 1958 on a HMV 45 rpm and on a HMV EP IN 1959.

thanks for your prompt replies John from Blackpool ... Lena and Harry Smith from London. I have the CD with Precious Moments..not the same.. I am also aware of Ronnies' recording, being a fan of his also. I have heard Matt sing 'The world outside' bit am having difficulty finding out whether it was recorded. many thanks for your efforts. barry/jean

Sorry couldn't be of more help, don't think Matt recorded another version of it, if so it has never been released to my knowledge.

The only song ( I belive ) that was sung by Matt to the Warsaw Concerto music was the theme song to "Sea Wolfs" and called - Precious Moments ! I am Tribute vocalist to Matt Monro and I perform this Precious Moments......beautiful song.

Unless there is another I am not sure to be honest with you
