Did you see Look North the other night Sandra...….someone mentioned that Joe Longthorne who sold out hundreds of concerts in Blackpool didn't even get a mention on the programme ……...such a shame :(

Did anyone see the BBC4 programme the other night all about the Beatles. The section called Sings The Beatles
showed a glorious live version of SOMETHING by Shirley Bassey followed by a glorious glorious version of Matt with just a pianist and a piano singing YESTERDAY :D :D

We caught up with this and enjoyed it especially Matt & Shirley Bassey.

The Matt clip is from the BBC Show "Matt Sings Monro" broadcast in February 1975 but we don't think it was ever shown again even though it was a great show.

It is also on YouTube for 49 minutes which includes other clips.

Thanks John x and Christine the 'Sings The Beatles' was on BBC4 a couple of weeks ago June 12th. It was a weird selection.

Do hope that you are both keeping safe and well x

I've seen a few live performances/TV, and after giving such great performances Matt was very humble to the audience reaction ,you get a nod or a very quiet "thank you" or sometimes both but nothing over the top, I find this incredibly humble, any thoughts on this? Mark

I think Matt was a humble person. He always sounded so humble and genuine during interviews 👍
