Matt on TV

Post by penno » Mon Nov 28, 2011 7:07 pm

Dear all,

Matt was on Saturday Night at the Mill singing If I Never Sing Another Song.

I don't see this in the list but it is a must for all fans.

Mark

Replying to Penno,
Hi. YES, that is one of my FAVORITE of Matt's TV performances. He is so phenomenally skilled and poised and ADORABLE, and at his best just singing, and not surrounded by badly choreographed goofy dancers, or strangely grim-faced audiences. They should always have just let Matt SING, without all of that other TV nonsense that some of the TV shows did (such as the Roger Whitaker Show NIGHTMARE). Matt was always a great sport, but a lot of it must've been hard to take, for someone as brilliantly talented, skilled, sensitive and professional as he.

A great great clip just now - on a BBC4 programme about people singing Disney songs. Clip of Matt singing When You Wish Upon A Star, introduced by Nana Mouskouri. It was on at 845pm. Will be viewable on the i-player later, I guess. Happy New Year, everyone. :)

We agree with Sandra and John, Shirley and Matt were outstanding and by far the best on Sings Disney.
It is on IPlayer if anyone wanted to see it and the advantage is Shirley's on first and then you can skip through most of them till you come to Matt, :D :D

We enjoyed seeing Shirley and then did what L & H did by skipping through until we got to Matt. A beautiful song and as always sung with such effortless ease. A real treat so let's hope that it may appear on a future DVD.

:D :D

Matt was mentioned again on Eggheads a few days ago, and short snaps of his songs have often been played during the morning programme on BBC 1 Homes Under The Hammer. This morning it was...Around The World :)
