Hi Everyone,
I have just had a quick look at the Radio Times for next week and the documentary is listed there, which is good news.
It is a good idea in a way that the documentary is being aired next week.
If the BBC put it on the following week, it would probably be moved to another slot because of all the fuss about The World Cup!
Let's hope that all of Matt's fans who didn't see it on BBC Four, will be able to see it next week.
Best Wishes,
Hilary

Hello Hilary. Thank's for the update on the programme. Won't it be great to see a programme on terrestrial BBC TV about our Matt. I've seen it already, someone taped it for me when it was on BBC4, but I cannot wait to see it again, with a clearer picture this time. It is an excellent documentary on Matt.

Hi Robert and Marian,
Yes, it is a good documentary and well worth seeing, even if you caught it the first time around on BBC Four.
It is slightly different to the DVD documentary that was released last year.
The video footage is very good and George Martin does say some really nice things about Matt's music etc.
I think Don Black said that he thought Matt had THREE lungs!
This was because he was able to sing, go out on the town after the show and enjoy himself and then the next day, Matt could sing like a bird.
Best Wishes,
Hilary

Yes, we agree, after showing this superb documentary at least Four times to our knowledge on BBC4, it's good to know that people who were disappointed and unable to watch it then can now do so.
We were able to tape it, and even though we can watch it any time we wish we shall be still be watching it again. Well, you do don't you!!!

Hi Everyone,
I may have some bad news here
In our area, the documentary is listed in the Radio Times for Tuesday night, but having looked at the TV Times and Quick TV, they have not put in the documentary at all......they are showing something different
Yes, believe it or not they will be showing a programme on the forth coming world cup
So, either the Radio Times for our area is right and the others are wrong or maybe the Radio Times for the Oxfordshire area is wrong and the others are right
Maybe Michele knows what is going on with the TV people.
Sadly I think that the world cup "thingy" will be shown as we are told that EVERYONE is into football now!!
Best Wishes,
Hilary

Hi Hilary, we have been searching for the schedule for BBC 2 for that week on varios sites and on the UK Net Guide e,t,c, and what we saw that week was the showing at long last of the Mario Lanza story "Singing To The Gods" on Monday the 5th, which like Matt's was shown about Four times on BBC 4, and has had so many requests for this to be shown on terrestrial TV by the irate producers and fans that it seems to have at last happened.
Who knows unless they change the schedule, we wondered if they may be showing this one first, but we'll just keep our fingers crossed

It seems from my TV paper that next MONDAY they are showing Mario Lanza but that is also part of the "Legends" series which has 7 different artists. Doris Day was the first so maybe dad's will be the week after.
At least last week when they listed Doris' they stated it was 1/7 so I am pretty sure that it will be shown in the next few weeks - they may very well pause the programming for the World Cup programming but it will be a matter of keeping our eyes open.
Sorry I cannot be more positive than that.
Fingers crossed.

Yep, watched it again, despite the fact I have it archived on DVD in the cupboard, and seen that at least 3 times.
That voice - shivers down the spine again - never fails

Did me up like a kipper again - my three year-old son was saying 'Don't cry, Mummy! Why are you sad?' Mummy couldn't help it!
My daughter's recordable DVD thingy wasn't working, so anyone who wants to sell me a copy, please PM me. Money might be tight (to the extent that if I don't send Michele the money for the Meet-up this week, I wouldn't blame her for crossing me off the list!) but I'd happily watch that documentary over and over again - despite my son's concerns for my welfare!!!

Ok, Ok, I admit it....not just shivers but tears too....
