Was Matt Monro ever considered for a knighthood or any national recognition for his contribution to the country?

This has been mentioned before CM, and the answer is no. But a posthumous award would be great 8)

I have a very nice letter in my possession from HRH The Queen explaining that unfortunately they do not give out knighthoods postumously - shame
Mind you it wouldn't hurt for you all to write in to her about it

They do give out some posthumous awards, but maybe not knighthoods. Was Matts music liked by the Royal Family, Michele??

Robert, from what we remember Michele once mentioned that Her Majesty liked and fondly remembered Matt and his music. :)
