Well I have at least started the research stage for a book - let me know your choices for a title.

I'd like to suggest, Matt Monro - MUCH LOVED.
because he was, is, and will always be.

Looks like suggestions for Michele's book title are pretty thin on the ground so far. Just thought I would bring it to the top of the pile again, and hopefully inspire a few more suggestions...

My latest - MY LOVE, MY DEVOTION (or and..devotion)- as this is very apparent what Michele is expressing in writing the book about her Dad.

Or just another thought - ALL THE WISHING IN THE WORLD..

I'm sure there's a book title in there amongst all the wonderful songs Matt recorded. How's about a few more suggestions...

Good suggestions Marian & Robert

To a lot of the general public, Matt IS 'Born Free', and from a marketing point of view, its also short! An obvious option - to us anyway!

'On a personal note, I think a poignant title would be 'Softly, as I leave you' which sums up my own experience with Matts music, as sadly he had died before I really knew he existed  But it is also the name of one of Matts most dramatic and best loved tracks

On a more upbeat note 'On days like these' for me sums up the wonderful influence a Matt track can have. Even without the association with 'The Italian Job' on that lovely summers day in the beautiful mountains of Italy, Matts style and ease can transport you to sunny and happy days.
Michael

Good suggestions too Mike and Robert.
"Softly" seems to have many appropriate titles within its words -
maybe "For one more hour" or even "As I leave you" - as well as the others already mentioned..

How about....Memories Of You..from the Memories album.
old age isn't so bad when you consider the alternatives.

If Michele is writing about her dad from a daughter's point of view, how about these titles?

1. Growing Up With Matt Monro
2. Matt Monro, My Dad
3. For Dad......Matt Monro

I think a good title would be the words that Matt was introduced with, and which nowadays send a tingle down the spine at every performance by Matt Jnr -

LADIES and GENTLEMEN.....

MATT MONRO
