Hi Hilary
I thought I was a lone Charlie Landsborough fan
crying in the wilderness of British unfamiliarity with the
man's music. For forum members who enjoy gentle
country/folk comprising tuneful melodies and near-poetic
lyrics, I unhesitatingly recommend his stuff. Songs such as
I Will Love You All My Life, No Time At All, My Forever Friend,
I Still Can't Say Goodbye. Sample lyric:
When life's a picture, all black and white,
with so much there that isn't right,
a gentle smile and you begin to change the scene
and colour in, and leaden weights turn into wings,
how do you do those things?
How do you take my heart and turn it over,
making my concrete world a field of clover...
From troubled waters to healing springs,
How do you do those things?
Instead of drums I'm hearing strings ...
The vocal side of Charlie's singer/songwriter talent
could perhaps be stronger, but he is, nonetheless,
very listenable.
Keith
