A complete change of direction--I am working my way through the entire series of "Family Ties"--a US programme that was on some time ago, which gave Michael J Fox his big break. I have 9 Boxes, each box contains 7 cds, each cd contains 5 episodes.
I am halfway through the 3rd cd , in the 2nd box----so I have a very long way to go.

Spiderman 3 was shown at reduced prices at the cineplex today being a Wednesday. Despite this, I did not see a big crowd at the box office.
Is it just me or are we so spoiled by the amazing clarity of DVDs that the cinema experience pales in contrast?
The last time I went to a cineplex to watch a movie, I was irritated by the scratched print and distorted soundtrack not to mention the cuts.
I prefer my home theatre.

It's many years since we went to the cinema too, and we agree with Marian. There's nothing like your home comforts and the cup of tea.
How different to the past days of the cinema. To rush home from work, have dinner, and arrive to find queueing for all priced seats and inside the smoke filled cinema there would be queueing again all along the aisle in the dark until the usherette saw someone leave and would then come to the front of the queue and guide you to the seat. Ah heaven !! Out came the fags, then to the familiar strains of the Pathe News Cockerel, This was your big night out.

Hi All,
Films on DVD come out so quickly now that you really don't need to go to the cinema unless you want to of course!
Yes it is so nice to sit down on your own sofa with a cup or glass of something you fancy! Also you don't have to buy any popcorn too!
I am listening to Eva Cassidy's CD "Songbird".
Love "Fields of gold" and "I know you by heart" just wonderful and Eva sings with such emotion.
