I'm listening to John's Desert Island selection. Some really good songs on here. :D
Not the most regularly heard of Matt's songs, but All That Remains and Let Me Choose Life are both really beautiful :D :D

Listening to The Seekers singing "The Carnival Is Over", my favourite, I can't think why I didn't put this in my desert island collection! :o

I have already come across quite a few that should have gone in my Desert island Collection--but I do not know what I would leave out !!

Listening to Al Martino's "Love of my Life" album at the moment, I can't think why a couple of these didn't make my Desert Island Collection either.
I think we will have to go to a desert Island every week and take a different selection each time.

There was question on Al Martino on the BBC2 quiz "Eggheads" the other day, asking which song was his first number one hit. A multiple choice selection gave "Here in My Heart" and "Spanish Eyes" as two of the choices (can't remember the third) and I have to admit I got it wrong by answering "Spanish Eyes" (the only song I ever think of when I hear Al Martino mentioned). The actual answer was "Here in My Heart". But I guess some of you would have known that.

Yes Jon, "Here In My Heart" was the very first number one in the U.K. in 1952 when the charts began. I usually watch Eggheads but I missed this one.
