I viewed a cracking little film called, "A Better Life" the other day.
Set in the suburbs of LA, a very emotional tale of the relationship between a father and his teenage son.
I heartily recommend it.

Gray a few months after my dad passed away I was in Boston and a film came on the tv about a father and son - I couldn't watch it and knew I was going to get upset so I went upstairs, the friends I have there came up to ask if I was ok. I was by then but the film was just too close to home at that time.

Gray, I just saw the scariest film ever. It's called "The Conjuring". Wow..creepy as in mind creepy (yes there is some gore) and back to the old time scares. Literally people were gasping and screaming in the theatre. Others had to step out because it was just too scary. The premise is about a family who moves into a haunted house that was owned by an old witch. Kinda like Amittyville Horror. The thing about this is it was based on a true story. I've seen this once and I don't want to see it again as it really creeps me out!!!

Hi Eman

I saw The Conjuring last week at the cinema too!
I do love an old fashioned haunted house story :)
The Conjuring reminded me of The Amytiville Horror or The Changeling (with George C Scott).
I thought it was good fun - however, it would have to go some to beat The Exorcist in terms of terror - my all time no.1 fright film.

I know, Eman!
I feel really sorry for Linda Blair, can you imagine what it must be like for her?
I think if I saw her shopping in Walmart I would run a mile!
I can't be the only one who would do this! :)

I saw The Excorcist years ago in Boston, I have also had the dvd for a few years but never got round to watching it yet.,

I remember my friend in Boston spotting his cousin as we left the theatre, he ran up behind her and growled "Karas" at her - she jumped a foot in the air, spun round and hit him - we then burst out laughing and so did she!

Not exactly a film I know, but currently watching Mrs Thursday, a 1960's British comedy series starring one of my favourite character actresses Kathleen Harrison. I was really pleased when the first series was released earlier this year, now the second series has just been released. :D

Saw the George Clooney and Sandra Bullock movie Gravity in 3D Imax. Cool effects but I must admit I had to take the 3D glasses of because I was getting motion sickness from floating in space. Storyline was just average for me but overall it was ok.

Gravity is getting rave reviews over here, Eman.
In fact, on the back of the pre-release publicity, I have arranged a night out with a load of chums to go and see it in the cinema!
Eek....not sure if I have done the right thing reading your comments! :D

I watched The Hurt Locker yesterday, didn't think I would like it - I did but parts of it were hard to understand.

Brings home to you what the troops have to endure in such places though.
