What's In Your CD Player/iPod/MP3/Computer/Hi Fi, Right Now?
Yes Jeff, Memories of You is breathtaking................definitely one of Matts greatest ballad performances.............. such wonderful word annunciations (as Frank Sinatra once said)
.......................but I haven't heard of Empire of the Sun, Jeff......................I usually only listen to "the regular" radio 2 programmes that are always mentioned on here

Currently listening to an Elvis Costello album "When I Was Cruel" released (I think) in 2002. Not one of his more well known collections but I originally bought it for the single "45" and just haven't bothered to listen to it until now. Though I'd always been resistant to his voice, which I never thought was up to much, I've found I'm quite enjoying some of the tracks, especially the instrumental parts. He certainly sings better than his wife, Diana Krall, anyway.
That put's EC's voice into perspective jon............. when you say you are enjoying the instrumental parts
Listening to Matt at the BBC tonight................Memories of You is wonderful, but there are others that are stand out tracks too
...................Sandra, David Jacobs only plays songs from his personal collection, so unless he has spent a few pounds on the CD, we will not be hearing any trakcs on his show

Listening to my favourite of Jerry Vale's at the moment, of course, it is "In The Chapel In The Moonlight".
