Listening to Bette Midler Sings The Peggy Lee Songbook. Though Peg did not have a big voice, Bette could not outsing the original "Fever" diva. On many cuts, I find myself comparing Bette's versions with Peg's and the originals were so much better. I did however like the duet with Barry Manilow. The CD is only 33 minutes long.

Another Bette Midler CD worth listening too is the 'Rosemary Clooney Songbook'
She duets with Barry Manilow on that one too 'On a Slow Boat To China' is great.

I love Bette singing "Hey there" on that one---she did a previous Bette Middler sings ---???-I forget who--but I preferred the Rosemary Clooney one.

I prefer the Rosemary Clooney on as well, Marian. Although she does a nice version of The Folks Who Live On The Hill on the Peggy Lee one.
