We were talking about Max just last night Sandra. We have all his LPs, and John has just sent us a couple of his songs that we didn't actually have on a CD of different singers compilation.
There's nothing like Max's songs for a sing-song.
We've played them at many a party we've had here in the past.

Thanks Lena and Harry she certainly did.We took her to see him at the Pavilion Theatre in Weymouth it must have been over 10 years ago and he was fabulous.
Where is he now-seem to think he moved to Australia?

Yes, I believe he does live in Australia Sandra. He came to Blackpool a couple of years ago for a sort of farewell concert, I din't realise he was here until the actual day he was performing and was too late to book, I would have liked to have seen him.

We have a video of Max's titled 50 Golden Years, released in 1993 to celebrate 50 years in showbusiness.
It showed his house with some funny momemts and happy memories, photographs and memorabillia, and Max with a sing-a-long of songs.
We bought this same video for some friends in Wales, and they watched it over and over again. Even showed it at their Diamond Wedding party.
He lives in Australia now but his Sister Maureen comes on Eric Hall's show now and again, generally when she has just come back from there.
We did have the occasional party Sandra , and Max was mixed with the Beatles then ...oh and not forgetting The Dave Clark Five.
I share the same Birthday as Max, can't be bad
