I know what you mean Marian, but I must be a bit old fashioned, by listening the traditional way

Just listened to the glorious "More" the opening and ending few bars sound like they come from "Here In My Heart" - Al Martinos very first ever no. 1 in the British charts. What do you think L&H or anyone :?:

Yes, Robert I agree with you on this one. Love HERE IN MY HEART and to listen to him sing it live is magnificent, he absolutely brings the house down as I am sure Lena and Harry know.

John, you are absolutely right. Al Martino singing "Here In My Heart" even now at 79 years of age is just unbelievable, and obviously this song is expected at every concert.
We are aware that there are some performers who return to the UK for tours clinging to the past success that they had and relying on their loyal fans to remember and support them, which is fair enough, but not in Al Martino's case. This is his Third visit here in the past Four years and venues are booking now. In fact one is full. He's here in February and the entire schedule will be up any day now.

Robert, we've looked at the Frances Langford "So Many Memories" and we do know several of those songs that she sings.
"So do I" and "I'm Falling In Love With Someone" are two specially nice songs.

The songs on Frances Langfords CD were recorded a long time ago   But others missed off are "Pennies From Heaven" and a wonderful "live" performance of "Night and Day" sung in front of "the troops" during WW2 8) 8)

Robert--I still cannot track Frances Langford on Youtube--I followed your instructions, but again the only singer was Dorothy Dandridge.

Help!!!

Robert

I agree about "Aubrey" by David Gates being a fine song. As Mariana44said, Johnny Mathis did a great version on his 1973 album "Killing Me Softly with her Song". I don't know/haven't heard the Gates version though.
