I have been listening to Vic Damone, Al Martino and Judy Collins tonight. :D I am just sorting some music for our journey to my Aunts and Uncle tomorrow in Marple, Cheshire, we haven't seen them since the beginning of October, so it will be nice to see them. :D Always good to have a nice variety of music for long (ish) journeys, Matt will of course be included. :D

Have a nice day John and Lee. Hope your weather up there is as nice as it is in London right now. Beautiful sunshine.
Better than some parts of Scotland where they have snow. !!!

It is lovely today in Kent-like Sprong--even managed to mow my lawn--first cut of the year.

Hope you have a good time John and Lee--I know your Aunt and Uncle will be glad to see you--especially if you baked a cake for them !!!

Thanks Lena, Harry and Marian. We had a nice day, and the weather was quite good, some sunshine every now and then and didn't start to rain until we were on our way home. I didn't make a cake this time Marian, I bought one instead, but I did make some shepherds pies to keep him going for a bit. :D He was quite well, he is 88 now and manages on his own. It was nice to see my Aunts as well, we had a pub lunch with them. :D

How time flies. Doesn't seem that long ago when you visited Marple John
We had a lovely time at my nephews last night, even though it was his Birthday, he did all the cooking for Six pensioners including us Two. :D
He'll make up for it tonight though, still cooking, but celebrating with about 15 of his friends. :) :)

Marian, HMV posted Matts Words and Music in a plastic bag, but now seem to have gone back to the more secure cardboard boxes :)

Quite a show tonight on the red button in conjunction with BBC Radio 2, The Laurence Olivier Awards from The Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. Lots of celebs on the red carpet to start off with interviewed by Jodie Prenger.
Had to have a quick meal as it was on for 3 1/2 hours!
Presented by a very smart Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton who did a fine job. It was interesting to hear they are both going to star in Sweeney Todd together.
Paul Gambacinni interviewed most of the winners, although we could have done with somewhat less chat.
A special award was presented to Stephen Sondheim by Cameron Mackintosh and Angela Lansbury, and she sang one of his songs. (Nobody dropped dead!)
A thoroughly pleasant evening of West End entertainment, and to top it all off Alfie Boe sang Some Enchanted Evening!
:D

I listened to Alfie on Michael Ball's programme. He said there were lots of e-mails for Alfie, although just Two were mentioned.
As far as the awards programme I listened to the beginning where Jodie Prenger was meeting the arrivals, but it was a long programme. We did switch on TV Radio 2 to see Alfies short interview with Paul Gambuccini :) :)

I started listening on the radio--then I put it on TV-red button--but found Paul Gambaccinis interviews too long-and quite boring in parts---and I think we must have missed a lot of the awards ceremonies--in the end I switched off, as it was yet another interview.

Just having a well earned cup of coffee and now listening to Matt & Dave King singing that superb duet "Singin' In The Rain". :D :D
