Hi Eman--I really love Bobby Darin--once you get past his gimmicky songs "Muliplication " "Splish , Splash" etc, he is a great singer-I wish I had appreciated his singing more when I was younger--it took me quite a while to get into him-and I cannot even remember how or when.

It may have been after he died.

We have "Dancing with the stars" starting this week--also "American x Factor"--the day after it is aired in USA.

My sister and I have decided we may have to let "Dancing with the stars go"---we are just gong to watch it once before making our minds up--but there is just so much on tv right now--with "X factor" x 2 "Strictly" "Masterchef Australia"-which is on every day--I have so much tv to catch up on, i would have to sit in front of the tv for a month.

Yes, Bobby was a great singer Marian, although I think I only have one cd of his.
Just been listening to Jack Jones Together album, really lovely album, followed by Frank Sinatra's Moonlight Sinatra, another beautiful album. :D

I am not sure which of Bobby Darins albums would be my favourite--the songs that I really like are scattered all over the place.

Yes Jack Jones "Together" is really nice--I believe it was one of the RCA albums.

Last night I was listening to "Lonestar" greatest hits-my sister sent it to me--one of her favourites--well, they were Ok.

I have most of Bobby Darin's material, his version of A Nightingale Sang In Berkley Square is great, I also bought a fanastic dvd in the States - Bobby could do anything he was so versatile, Simple Song Of Freedom is another of my many favourites. But Multiplication was the one that started me off, I still have the original 45 and it is still played on radio today!

Hi Eman-I never managed to get into "Glee"-I did try, and watched a few episodes, but it just was not me.

Vince Hill is a very underated singer in this country-I love "Sing a song of Sedaka"

I only recently discovered his first album--well, i think it is the first-not really sure, as I cannot find a dIscography ANYWHERE !

it is called "Have you met"-not to be confused with a later cd of the same title by Vince--this first one contains siongs like "Have you met Miss Jones" and "Like someone in love", which i am 99% sure have not appeared anywhere else since. I was intending to ask him about that album if he had been at the book launch. !

Hey Mariana, Yeah Glee is one of those take it or leave it shows. I've never heard of Vince Hill, I don't think he was known here in the US. Then again a lot of good UK artists go unoticed here. I'm just so glad we got STEPS!!! Anyone remember them...5,6,7,8 that's playing on my Ipod right now.

John, they were only known here in the US because they opened for Britney Spears. However I liked them when they were only known in the UK and Asia. I happened upon them on a trip to Japan and loved them. They reminded me of a techno ABBA..also loved S Club 7 and their tv show..LOL

A reunion for Steps WOW!!! Now you have me exicted! I'll keep my eye posted on that thanks for the info.

Eman, the Reunion documentary starts on Sky Living on 28th September, the first of four parts, not sure if you get that channel in the U.S.

John, unfortunately we don't. I googled the Steps Reunion 2011 and it looks like there will be a Ultimate Collection cd that comes with a dvd. So I'm pretty jazzed about that. :D Hmm does this mean a S Club 7 reunion maybe somewhere in the future.. :P
