I always loved the Hammer films and never missed going to the cinmea to see them all.

I thought that John was enjoying them too,but found out after we were married that he hated every moment of them all

That is true love for you :D

I loved watching the Hammer films and the show but yeah they were scary. I had to sleep with the lights on and when I was a kid and watched Dracula, I had to have my Grandfather sleep in the room with me after we watched it. The only one that I may have laughed at was The Gorgon. Listening to Jason Donovan this afternoon and now am listening to the smooth sounds of Herb Alpert and the TJB.

Do you have a favorite Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass song? Mine is Whipped Cream, with A Taste of Honey close behind. But I also love Casino Royale, Lollipops and Roses, So What's New, Tijuana Taxi, What Now My Love, Spanish Flea, really so many. They were the soundtrack of many parties in the '60s and they still sound perfect today.

For Halloween, I'm listening to Carmina Burana, Night on Bare Mountain, Reach Out in the Darkness, Cemeteries of London, Ghost Town, and of course Monster Mash.

I love Casino Royale too.
Herb Alpert appeared on the recent BBC 'Easy Listening' documentary.

I am a recent convert to Herb Alpert and enjoyed the recent BBC4 documentary on him. I remember Casino Royale from the film of the same name.

I was listening to the "Tony Bennett 11" duets cd last night, and I really love it-some great tracks--but my favourite by far--much to my surprise is Tony singing "Lady is a Tramp" with----Lady Gaga !!!--I love, love , love it---I cannot even believe I am saying this !!!

I really got into Herb Alpert and the TJB via my folks. They had his albums when we were kids so yeah it's too hard to have a favourite. Though the album I remember the most was "What Now My Love?" more than the infamous "Whipped Cream and Other Delights". In the late 70's my brother and I "rediscovered" him by way of the "Rise" lp. My brother plays trumpet so he'd always play along with the records. :D

Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga? LOL! Mariana.. Wow I hope you don't become a "Little Monster" (that's what she calls her fans)!! I was listening to the Michael Buble Chirstmas cd awhile ago and it isn't bad. I'm gonna pick up the Justin Bieber Christmas cd later for my neice. I'm just wondering how it's going to sound. I hate to admit it, but some of his songs are darn catchy like "Baby".

Hi Eman-I think Tony and Lady Gaga is just a one-off.

Yes, I like the Michael Buble Christmas cd-my fave track is "Felice Navidad"

Quite honestly Eman---I have never heard that expression, so there would be no danger of me using it. I would not normally watch or listen to Lady Gaga.

I know you wouldn't Mairana. :D I listen to her but I would not consider myself one of her "Little Monsters"...ugh!! Yesterday as it was Halloween, there were countless "Lady Gaga" costumes from small kids to adults (some even men!!).. now that was scary!!
