Listening to Gary Puckett and The Union Gap Young Girl lp. They do an ace cover of Petula Clark's Kiss Me Goodbye. This is one group my Dad likes and says they aren't noise or look like creatures even if they have long hair!!! He said they look clean and well groomed and can sing not scream! Lol I love my Dad and his descriptions of my records!

Eamon I can just picture you jumping about to let off steam, you head-banger you LOL!!!!

Maybe you just need to give the person that's bugging you a Glasgow (Glesca)kiss!!!!

If you don't know what that is I will say it in Glesca dialect even although I'm not from there "Wan Wi' The Heid"!

LOL, no in English it means "One With The Head" in other words a head butt. I hasten to add I find this a very nasty thing to do to anyone but said in the Glesca twang it's funny.

Karl, gotcha! I've seen that done in some of the punk clubs that I use to go to when I was younger. They used to mosh in a pit and jump around.. Never got into that, just the Pogo Dancing which was the jumping around like an idiot with their pants on fire.. LOL.. My Grandfather actually went with me to see The Clash and he wasn't impressed. He called themed four chorded musicians that screamed anything that popped into their heads!!

I didn't realise they did that in punk clubs, I thought they just spat on each other?

One with the head is often done in movies, infact I think somebody did it in one of the Jag series I watched recently.

My two volumes of British Hit Parade 1961 arrived yesterday so I am working my way through it, was it really 50 years ago that we were listening to Big Bad John and Tony Orando's Bless You which I still have the original 45 off !

Karl, yeah spitting , which I thought was totally unsanitary, kicking, moshing into each other..some people like to even make each other bleed. That was also gross, and thankfully I didn't go to the hardcore clubs. I only went to the clubs that were for dancing and watching bands..so we were poseur punks..LOL!!! I also heard of these underground punk clubs where people would do the Number 1 and Number 2 on the dancefloor and it was totally acceptable!! ugh!!! Health code violations right there!!
