Yes, this was called "The Things You Do For Love - I Still Believe", Karl. Terence Hillyer played Ronnie Hilton, and yes he was in Corrie for a while. I have this on video somewhere.

The only recording of ROnnie Hilton's that I know "A Windmill in Old Amsterdam", which is great. Maybe it's time for me to explore some more.

Thanks John of course, Terence Hillyer. I also saw him playing a foreign role and his accent was very good, why is it we never see him that often on tv? It's all David Jason, John Nettles & David Suchet - we have a wealth of great actors!

And Jon, you really should check out Ronnie Hilton, he had a wondeful timbre in his voice and he is also featured on one of the Wheeltappers & Shunters Social Club dvd's where he gave a great performance - one of his songs was Good, Bad, But Beautiful a song Shirley Bassey recorded on an album.

Roy Hamilton Definitive 50's Singles Collection.

Henry told me about this singer, he has a great voice but what I don't like are some of his vocal mannerisms which seemed to be what they did in that era, well some singers anyway!

Hey Robert,
These are just a few of the Steinman songs I like, but not all. Didn't like the Screamline Dion stuff but I really did like Air Supply's "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All".

Dusty Springfield - The Essential Hits

This cd was only available from Britannia Music, I haven't listened to it for awhile but the clarity is outstanding - I am hearing parts of the orchestrations so much clearer than other cd's. Having listened to Dusty since the days of The Springfields it's almost like hearing her songs for the first time - I really enjoyed this cd.

Dusty Springfield - White Heat. Finally tracked down a copy and loved it. I don't see why this album wasn't massive, maybe because it was released on Casablanca, a label noted for disco music. I believe the album got labled that way and was released during the disco backlash in the 80's. Yet I love this lp!!
