Did anyone know the mystery singer ast the end of the Russell Davies show ? ..............I guessed straight away..........it was bit time singer and actor Edward Woodward
"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"
I did not hear it, but I think I would have recognised Edward Woodwards voice---it ius very distinctive, and at one time we had all his Lps--not sure what happened to them-but I think George may have sold them at a boot fair ! If I knew then, what I know now !!!
We recognised the singer right away too.
We also have this 1975 LP. with the front cover of Edward Woodward looking dapper in his top hat turn back collar and waistcoat, and full length on the back. 12 of those favourite oldies. !!!
Yes Eman--it is the same one--he had a very pleasant voice-very distinctive--i do not think he had any hit records as such, but he was often played on the radio, ands he made several Lps
Hi Mariana, interesting to know this. I wonder if he had anything released stateside. Will look on youtube to see what he sounds like. If you had to compare his singing style to someone who would that be?
Eman-I do not know really who I could compare him to, as his voice and style are very different-but very pleasant to listen to. it is some time since I last heard him sing.
