No need to clarify, Robert, you already made that clear. You and I feel the same way about Matt and "Maria". :D
And I do agree with you that that last note is the most perfect single note on record.

And then along came "No One Will Ever Know", on Rarer Monro........oh my goodness, words can not describe....
You still haven't listened to your copy yet, Robert?
Matt singing with Johnny Spence on the piano, it's so beyond perfection. :!:

Ok so I'm having an anger and bitterness in my heart tonight so after some lush Filipino ballads and pop it's time for:
Forever The Sickest Kids
Pierce The Veil
Blood on The Dance Floor
Skryllex
with a bubblegum chaser of teenybop from Edinburgh's Dead End Kids!! They covered Glad All Over by the DC5 and Have I The Right by The Honeycombs!! Lol I may be one of the few on the planet who know of them. They opened for the BCR's back in 76,,

I was listening to the new Lea Salonga last night, as I downloaded it, then put it onto a cd-really lovely.

Eman--or anyone-do you know a singer called Kris Phillips--he is not from the Phillipines, but from that part of the world I believe--It was Terence from our Forum, who introduced me to the voice of Kris Philips---but I am unable to get anything else on cd by him-he is a really great singer--however--I did buy a dvd of Andrew LLoyd Webber in Beijing, and to my surprise Kris was one of the singers, singing Andrew lloyd |ebbers songs.

"Once...in every long and lonely while..." sigh :)

Disc 2, The Rarer Monro.

I put this on in my car going to work this morning, and was crying  by the time I got to work (I have a short commute, 2 miles). Crying because A) it's so perfectly beautiful and B) I had to go to work and stop listening to it! :x
It's sooooo beautiful, Matt starting it without accompaniment. THAT EXQUISITE VOICE!

Now I've got it on again, back home tonight. I can't play "Once..." just once. I have to hear it immediately repeated at least once, each time I play this CD.

I'm just now getting to enjoy Ten Out of Ten. The first time I heard it, it kind of hit me wrong because I was still swooning over "Once..." but now I can go with the Jazzy Matt and enjoy it. Matt makes it really fun.
"The World I Used To Know" is one of my NEW favorites.

Last night I put Disc 1 on at bedtime, thinking I'd just listen to a few songs before going to sleep. I listened to the entire Disc 1 twice through! :o

Hi Robert!
That's a name I've never heard. Is she another great voice from your beautiful country that didn't get played enough (or at all?) in America? I'll see if anyone's posted Ms. Haran on Youtube... :?:

Mary was American, but she died tragically in February 2011 when riding her bicycle, a car reversed from a driveway and ran Mary over, she passed away in hospital a couple of day's later

Sorry, Robert, I got a phone call in the middle of my message, so I didn't see those last two of yours and mine was out of synch.
Yes, very sad about what happened to Mary. I'm sorry.

She sings on. Thank you for introducing me to her beautiful singing.

Yes, thank you, I like this one too, and "This Funny Life" (think that was the title). Did you ever see her perform live?
