Yes Karl, quite a good cd, all from the the mid sixties to about 1970 I think. You always get the odd one you aren't keen on like any collection, but generally a nice cd. I have also just got "The Lost Album" for my Birthday, that is quite good too, but of the 2 I prefer the Parlophone Singles.

Craig Douglas tonight :) ..............favourite tracks so far...................

Pretty Blue Eyes

Time

No Greater Love (I hadn't heard this one before, but it is great with the catchy "rum" chorus)

The Girl Next Door (another song I hadn't heard before)

R a i n b o w s (which seems like a sure fire hit, but was only a b-side)

:) :)
"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On" :(

I am in agreement with you on all those songs Robert :D , especially "No Greater Love" with the "rum" chorus, which is my favorite followed closely by "Time". :D

Going through some of my old LP's recently I came across two by Joel Grey, Black Sheep Boy & Live which I am playing just now. I never realised he was over 80 and he's still going!

How strange that some of us are all listening to Craig Douglas at the same time. I regularly sing Pretty Blue Eyes and When My Little Girl is Smiling in my sets. The old folk I visit in care homes especially like Pretty Blue Eyes as I usually go around the room until I find a lady with blue eyes and dedicate the song to her.

Been listening to some Stevie Wonder songs - some sung by him, some by others. He really did write a lot of great stuff, especially ballads, and many of them are perhaps not among his most well known ones: Blame It On The Sun, All In Love Is Fair, Another Star, I Never Dreamed You'd Leave In Summer, Golden Lady, to name a few.

I have a Stevie Wonder cd-I think is is just caled "Ballads" and i love it--it has some really lovely , but little heard songs on it. i guess my favourite just has to be "Overjoyed"---which I actually heard Johnny Mathis sing in concert in USA.
